Sam Chirwa Sponsors 96 Constituency Footballers To Watch Malawi-Egypt Match

BY DRAXON MALOYA

Parliamentarian for Mzimba-Luwerezi Constituency, Sam Chirwa has paid all the costs to enable all promising footballers in his area to watch the Malawi-Egypt Afcon qualifiers game at the Bungu National stadium on Tuesday.

The development comes as one way of motivating the selected talented young promising football players from all corners of his area who have never watched such a high profile match or appreciated some of the country’s magnificent sports infrastructure like the Bungu National stadium.

Speaking to Malawi Daily Telegraph Online Publications, the youthful parliamentarian expressed the need to encourage young people to take both mental and physical education seriously.

Constituency Football getting better

“This is one way of encouraging young promising footballers to take both education and their talents like sports seriously, I am sponsoring football trophies in my constituency and this will be their opportune experience to watch some world class footballers like Mo Salah,” Chirwa said.

The parliamentarian further added that this is a more sweeter story to the champions in last year’s Constituency Football League whose whole team has been accorded an opportunity to travel to the capital city for the Flames and the Pharaohs show down.
