Chakwera To Preside Over Mozambique – Malawi Power Inter-connector
President Lazarus Chakwera will from Thursday to Sunday this week be in Mozambique for an official State visit.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Chakwera will be in Mozambique for four days.
According to the statement, while in Mozambique, Chakwera is expected to preside over the launch of the Mozambique-Malawi Power Interconnector in Tete and also visit the Nacala Port.
The President will also hold bilateral talks with his Mozambican counterpart, Filipe Nyusi.
To meet some requirements as outlined in the Malawi Vision 2063 which calls for the expansion of the industrial sector hence needs adequate and reliable power sources.
