Guba wins Gold Medal at The Ultimate Taekwondo
Championship

Sgt Yamikani Guba of 3Royal Horse Artillery (RHA) British Army continue to shine as he had started the year winning Gold Medal at the Ultimate Taekwondo Championships which was held at the Metrodome Leisure Centre in Barnsley on 22 Jan 23.

Guba is 5th Dan Black Belt holder in World Taekwondo. He represents the British Army and he is team captain for Army and UKAF Taekwondo.

This is his first Competition of the Year 2023 and he is delighted he has_ started with Gold.

Guba now is looking forward to a busy 2023 WT Taekwondo FOE.

Midlands Open Championships,Dutch Open Championships(G1 comp)Army Open Championship and the European Masters in Finland(G1 Comp).

“I feel great starting the year with a big win.
As this was the first competition of the year, this gave me morale in preparation to the busy schedule of the first quater of the year” said Guba.

Asked what message he can give to the youth that like the sport and want to reach far:

Guba said the youth should continue working hard in what they do and stay focus ie stay fit and choose friends wisely and stay out of troubles.
