Dedza Dynamos Poaches Chirwa From Ekwendeni Hammers
A few hours after Dedza Dynamos Football Club terminated the contract for their team’s head coach, Dan Dzinkambani on grounds that he don’t possess a CAF B Coaching Licence the team has managed engaged the former Ekwendeni Hammers head coach Gilbert Chirwa as their new tactician who has penned a year long deal.
On Tuesday morning Dedza Dynamos’ General Secretary Mabvuto Mugode confirmed Dzinkambani’s departure stating that the move is in fulfilment with rules set by the soccer governing body in compliance with the Club Licencing regulations.
“We would love to have him on board ahead of the new season but the situation has changed due to rules and regulations in compliance with the club licensing requirements,” sympathized Mugode.
He further added that the Club managrment has been reminding Dzinkambani to upgrade his credentials but to no avail hence the decision to partway with the former Karonga United and the defunct MDC United coach.
Meanwhile, Dynamos have engaged the services of former Nyasa Big Bullets and Flames defender, Gilbert Chirwa who has been with the Mzuzu City outfit, Ekwendeni Hammers since half way through the 2022 soccer season on voluntary basis.
Dzikambani holds a Diploma in football coaching obtained in Hungary long time ago.
