Young Pastor’s Network Appeals For Humanitarian Assistance

As Malawians across continues mourning those who have lost their lives due to the devastating heavy rains resulting from the infamous Cyclone Freddy the faith based organization, Young Pastors Network (YPN) has appealed to the donors for assistance to help those affected by the disaster.

ON CYCLONE FREDDY IN SOUTHERN MALAWI

Young Pastors Network expresses its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the devastating cyclone Freddy that hit Some parts the Southern Region such as Blantyre particularly Chilobwe and some other southern districts of the country like Mwanza, Thyolo, Phalombe, Chiradzulu, Neno, Zomba, Mulanje, Chikwawa and Nsanje. Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected communities as they deal with this tragedy.

According to the latest reports, more than 100 people have lost their lives, and many more are reported missing and several others injured. The cyclone has also caused severe damage to infrastructure, homes, and businesses, leaving many communities without access to essential services such as water, electricity, and medical care. 

The humanitarian situation remains critical, and we therefore urge the authorities to provide immediate assistance to those affected by this disaster.

We would like to commend the bravery and selflessness of the emergency responders and volunteers who are working tirelessly to rescue survivors and provide aid to those in need. Their efforts are truly inspiring, and we are grateful for their dedication to the affected communities.

As Young Pastors Network, we call on the international community to provide all necessary support to the affected communities and help them recover from this disaster. This includes providing emergency relief supplies, funding, and technical expertise to help rebuild infrastructure, homes, and businesses. We remains committed to supporting the affected communities as they recover from this tragedy. We will continue to work closely with the authorities, humanitarian organizations, and local communities to provide assistance and support to those in need.

Government minister finds it tough to visit affected families

We urge the public to donate to reputable humanitarian organizations working on the ground to help those affected by this disaster. Together, we can make a difference and help the affected communities rebuild their lives.
