Zambia Disqualified At Handball Zone-VI Tourney
The Zambian Under-17 and Under-19 Handball national teams have been disqualified from this year’s Zone-VI tournament currently underway in South Africa.
In a telephone interview Malawi’s leader of delegation to this year’s tournament, Alex Simenti confirmed the new development that has just taken place last night.
Simenti said “Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa launched a complaint to the International Handball Federation (IHF) against Zambia on age cheating after a meeting last night it has been ruled that Zambia is disqualified in both under 17 and under 19 categories.”
He further stated that in this regard today (Friday) the Zambians will be informed of their fine and they have been ordered to leave South Africa this morning.
Following disqualifying of Zambia the Malawi under 17 continues with it’s games and today will be featured.
