The Law Professor Mutharika Knows No Democracy
Some senior members of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have obtained a court injunction against their party seeking for legal redress on the resolutions passed by the National Governing Council (NGC) earlier this month.
In their summon the four party officials who include: Kondwani Nankhumwa, Jappie Mhango, Grezelda Jeffrey and Yusuf Nthenda have argued that whatever resolutions that were passed at the NGC meeting in Mangochi do not conform with the party’s democratic way of doing things.
Expressing his views on Facebook one of the social media whistle blowers, Yammieh Kamphinga blasted the 83 year old Mutharika stating that the professor would have first been accommodative.
“How can an 83 year old, professor of law who has taught law at reputable universities in the United States of America where he brushed shoulders with former United States of America president, Barrack Hussein Obama, fail to handle small wrangles as those in the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)?” wondered Kamphingah.
He further argued stating that if indeed Mutharika is a true professor of law then how can he fail to predict and avoid court wrangles over his association?
“Above all, how can he fail to appreciate gestures that promote and accommodate disputes in an out of court settlement?” he added.
He then judged stating that the professor of law cannot mess up a political association as this, “what will car mechanics or retired soldiers or other military officers at the helm of political associations do?” he queried.
He concluded blasting Mutharika concluding that rather rude questioning as to whether is professor Arthur Peter Mutharika a real professor and of law?
