Nyirenda Consecrated Mzuzu Diocese Auxiliary Bishop
President Lazarus Chakwera and his vice, Saulos Chilima were at Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday for the consecration of the Auxiliary Bishop-elect Yohane Suzgo Nyirenda of Mzuzu Diocese of the Catholic Church.
In his speech, Chakwera said there’s need for joint efforts and hard work among Malawians if the country is to create jobs for a well trained youth towards achieving sustainable prosperity”.
The Auxiliary Bishop says he will work with everyone towards achieving the well being of all people.
Bishop Nyirenda was appointed as the auxiliary bishop of Mzuzu Diocese by Pope Francis on May 5 this year but until his appointment he was serving as the rector of Kasina Spiritual Formation Centre.
Born on June 20 1976, he was ordained a priest on July 19 2008.
