I Can’t Withdraw From FAM Race – Hara
The Football Association of Malawi’s second Vice President, Othaniel Hara has refuted as blutant lies, social media fabrications alleging that he has withdrawn from the 16 December FAM race in which he is seeking re-election.
In a press briefing held in Mzuzu on Friday Hara categorically refuted the rumours describing them as blatant lies ‘fabrications’ originating from the rival camp.
He then stated that he has never been a quitter as such he cannot disappoint his supporters who nominated him to run in defence of his current position at the soccer governing body.
“The lies you have read in social media platforms are mere fabrications originating from the desperate rival camp whose campaign is now based on malice, greed and envy,” Hara said.
While assuring those affiliates supporting his candidature, the conservative FAM’s third-in-command could foretell stating to the media that come, 16th December nothing will change at FAM.
On Friday, the Timveni Sports Desk Facebook page published an article out of speculations alleging that the incumbent FAM’s third in command, Othaniel Hara was contemplating withdrawing his candidature from the race.
FAM will on Saturday, 16th December go to an elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for the City of Mzuzu where all the executive positions will be up for grabs with a team of 36 delegates expected to cast sites.
