Hotel Challenges Journalists to Work Together
The management of the Grand Palace Hotel has challenged media practitioners from the Nyika Media Club to always embrace unity if their quest to provide quality service can be appreciated.
The challenge comes following the background of the media Club planning to host an elective general conference on the 2nd March 2024 which has tasked its leadership to engage an extra gear in resource mobilisation.
The manager of the Hotel, Sam Shamanza Phiri said it is only through a vibrant and closer working relationship with various stakeholders in socio-economic aspects that the media practitioners can enjoy maximizing their potential.
“The Hotel is always available to work with the scribes both, as individuals or media blocks. We are very optimistic that this partnership signing ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter in which our works and yours as well will be visible to a large audience out there,” said Phiri.
Committing assistance to the Media Club in its quest to hold an elective indaba, Phiri added stating that the Hotel is delighted to provide a hall, food, and resources enabling the hosting of more than 70 Journalists.
The Vice-chairperson of the Media Club who is also the Bureau Supervisor for Times News Northern region, Feston Malekezo thanked the management of Grand Palace Hotel while appealing to other corporate partners to emulate the gesture demonstrated saying, it is always the wish of the scribes to conduct meetings in places with very conducive environment.
“The Grand Palace Hotel’s gesture cannot be taken for granted, we will take every aspect of this partnership seriously knowing that we don’t operate in a vacuum. Grand Palace is one such a good partner which has led by example for other companies need to emulate,” Malekezo said.
Whether coincidence, but to further cement this working relationship with the media practitioners, the Grand Palace Hotel has extended an invitation to all the journalists to be part of activities marking this year’s Valentine’s celebrations which fall on Wednesday, the 14th of February.
