Malawi Remains Premier Tourist Destination – Chakwera
President Lazarus Chakwera says, Malawi remains a premier tourist destination that offers diverse experiences to both local and international clientele.
The president says, this is a timely prospect to showcase what the Warm Heart of Africa brings to the global tourism platform.
Speaking when concluding the Agriculture Tourism and Mining (ATM) Promotion Week which ended woth this years Tourisn Expo Chakwera said “we yet again convened for the final of the three thematic events, the 5th edition of Malawi International Tourism Expo.”
And writing on his Facebook page the Malawi leader states that the event attracted a host of foreign exhibitors, tourism enterprises, operators, potential investors, local and international buyers and travel enthusiasts.
“It is now cast in stone that Tourism is a pathway towards creation of sustainable jobs and wealth,” he added.
He concluded reiterating that guided by this certainty, the country is determined to implement the Malawi National Tourism Investment Master-plan, which seeks to provide requisite modern infrastructure for the growth of the industry.
