“Songwe is a strong leader who has established MCP which was not existing on Likoma and Chizumulu islands, we have recommended him to the region to compete on any position he wants at the National Executive Committee,” said Chapuchapu.

The regional chairperson for MCP North-South, Joseph Chavula said Songwe resonate with the party members who saw in him a leader who understands their needs and aspirations.
