Chimwendo Declares To Contest In MCP Secretary General’s Race
Richard Chimwendo Banda, the Local Government Minister in Malawi, has announced his decision to compete for the position of Secretary General of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) at the upcoming convention scheduled for the 8th to 10th of August 2024.
Chimwendo made the announcement on his official Facebook page, expressing his desire for a unified MCP and offered himself for more service to the party and the country. In his statement emphasizing the importance of bringing all party members together to work towards a common goal of advancing the party’s agenda and serving the people of Malawi.
With his vast experience in government and public service, Chimwendo believes he is well-equipped to take on the responsibility of leading the MCP as its Secretary General.
