Kwezy Coach Service Unveils K6 Million Netball Bonanza in Northern Region

Mzuzu, Malawi – Kwezy Coach Service, a prominent commuter operator, has over the weekend made a significant announcement in celebration of its seventh year of operation.

The company revealed a generous six million kwacha netball bonanza, aimed at bolstering sports development in the region.

This move comes hot on the heels of Kwezy Bus receiving the prestigious Commuter Operator Award from the Consumers Association of Malawi.

Mapulanga Francisco Vitsitsi, the operations manager for Kwezy Bus in the northern region, emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in managing the netball competition.

“For our partnership with the netball fraternity to thrive,” Vitsitsi stated, “we must ensure that every penny allocated to sports development is used effectively.”

Tamala Fweta, Chairperson of the Northern Region Netball Association, expressed gratitude to Kwezy Coach Service for their commitment.

Fweta pledged to uphold accountability, ensuring that the funds are channeled toward netball development initiatives.

“This exciting collaboration between Kwezy Coach Service and the netball community promises to elevate the sport and empower athletes across the region.

“Fans and players alike eagerly await the upcoming netball bonanza, which is poised to make a lasting impact on Malawi’s sporting landscape,” said Fweta.

Presiding over the cheque presentation ceremony, Malawi National Council of Sports regional sports development officer for the north Gracian Mkandawire assured the management of Kwezy Coach Services that government introduced a new comprehensive reporting mechanism which demands all sporting disciplines to submit detailed financial reports.

Close to a decade now, the Netball Association of Malawi has failed to secure any tangible netball sponsorship for the Northern Region despite its contributing of more than 60 percent of the national team players
