Indian President Jets Into Malawi

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says President Smt. Droupadi Murmu of India is scheduled to visit Malawi today, as part of her three-nation tour of Africa, which also includes Algeria and Mauritania.

The Ministry has indicated that during her visit, President Murmu will engage in bilateral discussions with Malawi’s President, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, focusing on strengthening the mutual relationships between the two countries.

The two leaders will also attend a banquet at Kamuzu Palace on Friday October 18, 2024, commemorating 60 years of diplomatic relations between the Asian country (India) and Malawi.

President Murmu’s visit is expected to conclude on October 19, 2024, when she will depart from Malawi.
