Commission Seeks Extension to Analyze Findings
The Commission investigating the tragic plane crash that killed former state vice president, Dr. Saulos Klauz Chilima, and eight others, has requested an extension to conclude its work.
Initially, the Commission was expected to submit its findings by November 30, 2024.
In a letter signed by Commission Chairperson, Judge Justice Jabber Alide, the extension seeks to critically analyse the findings gathered from over 120 people who testified.
Now the new deadline for the submission of the report is December 14, 2024.
The plane crash, which occurred on March 10, 2024, at Nthungwa in Chikangawa Forest, resulted in the loss of all nine lives on board.
The Commission’s report is eagerly awaited, as it is expected to provide valuable insights into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
