Engineer Mumba Inspires Youth At Basketball League Sponsorship Launch
Engineer Vitumbiko Augeans Mumba drew a record-breaking crowd in Mzuzu City on Sunday, launching his K45 million Northern Zone Basketball league (NOSOBAL) sponsorship at Katoto Sports Complex in style.
The Basketball sponsorship event has made a significant impact on Malawi’s sports scene. This three-year commitment is a testament to his philanthropic efforts and dedication to empowering the nation’s youth.
Addressing the enthusiastic youth over crowding Katoto Courts, Mumba emphasized focus, sports, and agriculture’s role in driving Malawi’s socio-economic growth. He also stressed voting’s power in the upcoming General Elections.
“Yes, we live in urban areas, but we must contribute to our country’s growth. Our destiny is tied to being active in all spheres of economic growth,” Mumba said. “Let’s seize the opportunity to vote in next year’s elections; it’s the only way to shape the Malawi we want.”
The launch featured an exciting basketball game between Nkhandwe and Mzuni Panthers, kicking off the K45 Million Vitumbiko Mumba Northern Zone Basketball league spiced with musical performances.
Chakufwa Chihana Junior, NOZOBAL chairperson, thanked Mumba for the significant sponsorship, worth K45 million over three years. “I’m speechless; God bless Engineer Mumba,” Chihana Junior said.
As a professional engineer and charismatic leader, Mumba’s involvement extends beyond sports. He has been making waves in Malawi’s political scene, inspiring young people to take an active role in shaping the country’s future.
