District member associations are gearing up for the Northern Region Football Association’s (NRFA) elective Annual General Meeting early next year, with preparations intensifying.

In an exclusive interview with a local radio station, renowned soccer analyst Pally Chinyama emphasizes the need for sound leadership, citing the importance of understanding game rules and securing sponsorships.

Chinyama’s timely advice aims to strengthen the region’s football ecosystem, producing stronger teams and better opportunities for players.

“In the current football landscape, especially in lower leagues, leaders must forge ahead sustaining and improving team performances after promotion to the elite league,” Chinyama said.

He then challenged district committees to elect leaders with: strong managerial skills, vision and charisma to unite the football family and the ability to attract sponsors

With NRFA elections determining office bearers for the next four years, rumours are now rife, General Secretary Masiya Nyasulu is challenging the Acting Chairperson Chauka Mwasinga.

However, both Nyasulu and Mwasinga are yet to come out and declare their candidacy but member associations party to the NRFA AGM have confirmed being approached by the two contestants.

Meanwhile, the NRFA is expected come up with the calendar of events highlighting all the sporting activities including it’s annual general meeting.
