ACB Arrests North Police Commissioner

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken a significant step in tackling corruption in the Malawi Police Service by arresting Northern Region Commissioner of Police, Richard Luhanga.

According to ACB Acting Director General, Hillary Chilomba, Commissioner Luhanga was summoned to the ACB headquarters in Lilongwe early this morning.

Sources close to the investigation suggest that he is being investigated for alleged corruption and abuse of office.

This development comes at a time when concerns about corruption within the Malawi Police Service are growing.
