Kyungu Commends Government’s Decision to Rehabilitate M1 Road

Paramount Chief Kyungu of Karonga and Chitipa has praised the government’s decision to rehabilitate the Karonga-Chiweta M1 Road and other transport infrastructure across the country.
This development is expected to boost Malawi’s economy and reduce accidents caused by poor road conditions.
During the engagement, traditional leaders and business people in Karonga, Malondera assured the them that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s administration is committed to delivering promised developmental projects.
“The development will boost the economy of the country while reducing accidents happening due to poor conditions of roads. Let me appeal for support in all efforts made by government for the welfare of everyone,” said Malondera.
Meanwhile, during his engagement with Traditional leaders and business people in Karonga on Sunday, Malondera said the administration of President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is committed to fulfilling developmental projects promised.
While acknowledging that not all is well, the Deputy Minister assured the business community in the district that authorities are working tirelessly to improve the situation.
Currently, the said amount has already been transferred to the Roads Fund Administration with maintenance works expected to resume in two weeks time.
