Afrexim Bank Promises US$500 000
President Lazarus Chakwera’s Diary – President of Afrexim Bank, Professor Benedict Oramah, informed me during our yesterday’s discussion that the institution will give Malawi US$ 500,000 towards the relief efforts for households affected and displaced by Cyclone Freddy.
They will be channelling the funds soon through the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA).
In return, I on behalf of Malawians, expressed profound gratitude to Afrexim Bank for the generous donation and decisive act of solidarity with us in this moment of national distress.
