National Development Party (NDP) leader Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo has reaffirmed his commitment to clean politics, free from personal attacks, as Malawi gears up for the 2025 general election.

Mwenifumbo believes that politics based on personal attacks are outdated and called for an end to nepotism, advocating for equal treatment of all citizens in development and employment opportunities.

Mwenifumbo made this statement in Chitipa, where he unveiled his party, emphasizing the need for unity and love among individuals with different political affiliations.

“As the leader of the NDP, I pledge to promote a more inclusive and equitable approach to governance,” Mwenifumbo said.

Notably, Mwenifumbo announced that the NDP will contest the 2025 general elections independently, without forming alliances with other parties. This decision reflects the party’s commitment to its values and vision for Malawi’s development.

As Malawi prepares for the 2025 elections, various initiatives are underway to promote democratic leadership and empower citizens.

The Malawi Electoral Commission has officially launched the 2025 General Election, marking the beginning of the election cycle with projects aimed at enhancing the participation of women in the tripartite elections are being implemented.
