Malema Re-elected EFF President
In a historic moment for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in South Africa, the party’s top six positions have been filled unopposed at the National People’s Assembly (NPA) held in Johannesburg.
This significant event took place at the Nasrec Expo Centre, where the party’s leadership was formally elected.
The six key positions include the President, Deputy President, Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Treasurer-General, and National Chairperson.
Notably, Julius Malema, the party’s commander-in-chief, was nominated unopposed for the presidency and accepted the nomination, s0
imilarly, Godrich Gardee was nominated unopposed for the Deputy President position.
The newly elected top six officials are:
- President: Julius Malema (43)
- Deputy President: Godrich Gardee (56)
- Secretary-General: Marshall Dlamini (47)
- Deputy Secretary-General: Leigh-Ann Matthys (52)
- National Chairperson: Nontando Nolutshungu (65)
- Treasurer-General: Omphile Maotwe (43)
In addition to the election of the top six officials, the party has also expanded its Central Command Team (CCT) from 46 to 66 members, with a minimum of 33 women required to ensure 50% representation.
