Chakwera Youth Brigade Formed to Boost President’s Re-Election Bid

The Chakwera Youth Brigade, comprising young individuals from various political organizations, has been established to support President Lazarus Chakwera’s re-election campaign next year.

During a media briefing in Mzuzu, Brigade Chairperson Lapken Chiwiriwiri Thindwa highlighted President Chakwera’s achievements, including infrastructure development projects and consideration of all aspects of economic growth.

Thindwa emphasized the importance of youth inclusion in the cabinet, citing it as a crucial part of the country’s political transformation.

He noted that previous governments have failed to fulfill their promises, but President Chakwera’s administration has made significant strides.

Former Regional Governor for the PDP, Kelvin Chirambo, expressed his support for President Chakwera’s vision and politics of inclusion, which aligns with his development agenda, “Transforming the nation.”

UTM party member Shaggy Mlanga praised President Chakwera’s appointment of Honourable Vitumbiko Mumba to the cabinet, citing it as a meritorious choice for socio-economic growth and development.

The youth leaders UTM, People’s Party, DPP and and Freedom Party concluded the briefing by urging Labour Minister Vitumbiko Mumba to lobby for the completion of all infrastructure development projects in the Northern region.
