Zikhale Meets British And Norwegian Dignitaries to Boost Malawi’s Mining Sector

Malawi’s Mining Minister, Hon. Dr. Kenneth Zikhale Ng’oma, continues to engage with developmental partners to promote the country’s mining sector.

On Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 Ng’oma held high-level meetings with the British High Commissioner, Her Excellency Ms. Fiona Ritchie, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Her Excellency Ms. Ingid Marie Mikelsen.

The meetings focused on exploring ways to develop a sustainable mining industry in Malawi.

Speaking to Malawi Daily Telegraph Minister Ng’oma emphasized the importance of these discussions, citing the government’s implementation of the ATM strategy, which aims to revitalize the country’s economy.

“The meetings with the British and Norwegian dignitaries demonstrates our commitment to promoting sustainable mining practices and attracting foreign investment to Malawi,” said Zikhale.

As Malawi seeks to diversify its economy and capitalize on its mineral resources, clearly illustrate Minister Ng’oma’s efforts to foster international cooperation and investment in the mining sector.
