Haiya Engages Global Experts to Boost Malawi’s Football Development

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President, Fleetwood Haiya, continues to engage with renowned stakeholders in the football world to explore innovative ways to develop the sport in Malawi.

Recently, Haiya travelled abroad, where he met with distinguished figures in soccer development, who have successfully assisted various countries in their youth football development agendas.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Haiya revealed that; “i had a productive discussion with George Maguire, co-founder and Director of Soccer and Programs at Ascent Soccer,” writes Haiya.

The two shared valuable insights on establishing and developing football academies in Malawi.

Maguire expressed his full support for FAM’s transformation agenda, which aims to register all football academies across the country.

Ascent Soccer Academy, one of Malawi’s top academies, has played a crucial role in nurturing young talent, contributing players to both the junior men’s and women’s national teams.

Haiya’s engagement with global experts demonstrates FAM’s commitment to developing football in Malawi and providing opportunities for young players to grow and succeed in the sport.
