MCP Urges Nkhata-Bay Residents to Back Chakwera’s Government

Dr. Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, Executive Committee member of the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and Minister of Mining, has emphasized that the people of Nkhata-Bay district have ample reasons to support President Lazarus Chakwera and his government.
He cited various development projects initiated by the MCP regime since 2020 as evidence of the party’s commitment to the district’s growth.
While speaking at Kavuzi in Nkhata-Bay East Constituency, Zikhale encouraged residents to vote for Clement Manda, the MCP’s parliamentary candidate.
“The MCP’s development initiatives in Nkhata-Bay district are part of the party’s broader efforts to improve the lives of Malawians though some critics have questioned the progress,” said Zikhale.

He also highlighted the government’s construction of a house for Vera, the widow of MCP founder Orton Chirwa, and compensation for heroes who lost their lives fighting for the country’s freedom as testaments to the party’s focus on the district’s development.
Zikhale then underscored President Chakwera’s vision for mining activities as a catalyst for Malawi’s socio-economic growth and development aligning with the government’s efforts to promote economic growth and development in various sectors.
