Furniture Manufacturer On Expansion Drive

One of the country’s leading furniture manufacturing companies, BM Sofa Designs General Dealers has embarked on an impressive business expansion drive opening shops across the country.

The expansion comes at a time when some companies and organisations have scaled down their operations or closed their businesses altogether, due to several economic factors emanating from the novel Covid-19 pandemic or either the currency evaluation due to the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war.

BM Sofa Designs operations manager, Joe Kalele said the company stresses much more to ensure that people have good quality furniture in their homes hence selling their products at very affordable rates and within their reach.

“We want to ensure that our quality products are accessible to every household across the country hence opening shops in all the three regions of the country,” Kalele said.

Yes, we offer a credit facility

Kalele also tackled the need to empower communities by providing internships on skills training and job creation hence the expansion drive which is expected to increase the company’s workforce from 70 to 200 by December this year.

Meanwhile, BM Sofa Designs have shops and showrooms in Mzuzu, Rumphi, Mzimba, and Lilongwe and will soon open other outlets in the cities of Blantyre, Zomba and Mangochi municipal town.

Since it’s establishment some years ago the furniture manufacturing company has been involved in various social corporate responsibilities in the areas of crime prevention, sports, music and reforestation.

Job opportunity, a priority

Earlier this year the company donated all the K10 million furniture required at the newly constructed Zolozolo Police Unit in the city of Mzuzu.
