Policeman Kills Himself With a Gun In Dzaleka
A Police officer number B6714, Sergeant Mkwate of ‘F’ Division who was working at Dzaleka Police Unit has died after shooting himself under his Chin with a 2KC Assault Rifle on Friday night, October 7th 2022.
Mkwate terminated his life by blowing himself brains out in a suicide he did not leave any notice leading to the establishment of a reason behind his mysterious death.
According to a Police report, the deceased told his fellow workmates he found on duth that he was on night duties, took a 2KC Assault Rifle and went into a staff toilet to relieve himself.
Inspector Chinyama who was duty officer on the fateful night reported that within a short period of time a gunshot sound was heard from the toilet where the deceased went.
Upon checking on what had happened, Sub-inspector Chinyama found blood coming from the underneath of the staff toilet door, immediately passed the message to his fellow workmates about the development.
“When they all went to find out, they discovered that he had shot himself under the chin and later reported the matter to the parent Station who visited the scene in company of a medical officer who confirmed that death was due to severe loss of blood,” reads the report.
