Burkina Faso is experiencing an unprecedented forgotten humanitarian crisis in the country and particularly in the Sahel region, which has become the epicenter of the violence perpetrated by armed groups.

According to the Doctors Without Boarders (DWB) as a result of the conflict, over a million internally displaced people have since fled the area.

Djibo, a town in the Sahel region, has been under blockade by non-state armed groups for over a year now.

Since then, the population’s living conditions of the population have been affected as access to food, water, electricity, and communications is limited.

Half of the population in the town are children. Between 8-9 April, MSF teams organised a successful massive distribution to prevent malnutrition in the Sahel region

➡️57 Tons (57000 KG) of BP-5 nutritional biscuits

➡️12456 children reached

➡️ over 2 two days ⏲️

“In addition to what MSF is doing for the people of Djibo, we also have been supported, do not forget that this situation had an impact on us and our families,”, – Hamadoum Moussa, MSF Health Promotion Supervisor, who is a native of the Djibo town.
