Honourable Sam Chirwa Spoils Mzimba Luwerezi Constituency With An Entertainment Extravaganza

As one way of encouraging youths to work hard in all spheres of socioeconomic development, the Mzimba-Luwerezi parliamentarian, Sam Chirwa organized a mega entertainment extravaganza for his constituents on Sunday.

The mega party included soccer, boxing and music organized to spice up this year’s Constituency football league finals in which Luwerezi United and Angoni stars battled it out for the top prizes having reached the climax of the competition.

Speaking to Malawi Daily Telegraph immediately after addressing the landmark crowd that jam-packed Luwerezi Ground the youthful parliamentarian says he does not want to leave anyone behind hence inviting to Mabilabo Jere’s area some of the renowned acrobats, musicians and boxers.

“I want to give people of my Constituency a variety in the entertainment worlds more particularly the youths, my message is to encourage those with skills to utilize their potential in realizing their possibilities to earn a living,” Chirwa said.

Meanwhile, the parliamentarian has promised to organize another same entertainment package very soon to be held in Champhira-Zone where he will also launch the ‘Sam Chirwa Development Cash-Book’ loan facility whose aim is to boost businesses for those youths who have ventured into business.

Popularly known as Chimkwevu among the peers, Chirwa invited the all time greatest Malawi’s female boxer, Anita Bashir, the Young Achievers Acrobats and some notable musicians from within the constituency and far.

The climax of it all came with the coming on stage of Upile Kalole, popularly known as the ‘The Luwerezi Star’ sharing turns with star musicians: Thomas Chibade, Katelele Ching’oma, Soul Chembezi and the versatile, Joe Gwaladi.

Apart from presenting the trophies to the successful teams in this year’s Honourable Samuel Chirwa Trophy, the parliamentarian also dished out gifts and cash prizes to teams and individuals who have contributed to the successful completion of the competition.
