Nyondo Donates to Karonga Sports Teams

Mzuzu Shoprite Manager, Atusaye Nyondo has donated a football kit and soccer balls to Nchowo United FC which is around Myombo, his home area in Karonga North-West Constituency.
According to Nyondo, the donation is aimed at encouraging the youth around the area to remain busy with sporting activities as productive citizens thereby refraining themselves from indulging in immoral behaviours such as alcohol, drugs and substance abuse.
Nyondo who was accompanied by football and netball teams said he felt duty bound to donate something from to the youth around the area where he originally comes from.
On his part, Team Manager for Nchowo FC, Golden Blackson Mwanyongo thanked Nyondo for his donation to the team and also commended him for his contribution towards improving the livelihoods of the young people in the area.
In the matches that have been played after his donation, Nchowo FC have beaten Mzuzu Shoprite 3-1 while the Mzuzu Shoprite Netball Queens trounced Nchowo Community Netball team 18-1.
The K2 million worthy kit and other sporting equipments Nyondo donated were procured using personal funds raised from his small businesses namely: Safarinjema Stopover, D&G Restaurant, Mpamba and Airtel Money Bureaus operating around Mzuzu City.
