Chevening Scholarships For Community Socioeconomic Transformation -British Envoy

LILONGWE, Malawi: The British High Commissioner to Malawi Feona Ritchie has urged beneficiaries of the Chevening scholarships to help in the socioeconomic transformation of their communities and the country at large.

Ritchie made the remarks during the 40th Chevening Scholarship Awards celebration reception in the capital city, Lilongwe.

Ritchie said, “Since the program was announced by the foreign secretary in 1983, it has seen 40 years of friendship, rewarding excellence, championing education, and increased global change for good”.

On his part director of higher education, Dr. Levis Keliyasi Eneya said: “The Chevening scholarships are so crucial in attaining the Malawi 2063 development blueprint”.
