2023 National Youth Policy Launch, Tuesday

Government has asked stakeholders implementing programs targeting the youth to ensure their interventions are aligned to the revised National Youth Policy to be launched tomorrow afternoon in Lilongwe.

Speaking at a press briefing held on Monday in the capital city, Lilongwe Minister of Youth and Sports Uchizi Mkandawire said “among others the 2013 policy has been reviewed to bring sanity in the way stakeholders are operating as well as strengthening coordination

UN resident Representative in Malawi Rabbeca Ada Donto who was also present at the briefing said Malawi also needs to celebrate Malawi youth’s resilience to various social challenges they are going through.

The launch of the five-year revised policy will be held at the BICC in Lilongwe together with the commemoration of the UN Day and President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to preside over the event.
