Bullets North Supporters Committee Fired

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets supporters chairperson Bosco Bakali and his entire northern region committee have been fired with immediate effect this publication has established.

The firing of Bakali and his entire committee comes on suspicions that they are in support of soccer followers calling Walter MacMillan Nyamilandu to seek another term as Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president.

An informant who confined to this publication on strict conditions of anonymity for fear of reprisals said Bakali and his regional supporters committee members were spotted through a live streaming video at a press briefing when soccer enthudiasts calling themselves Walter Team addressed the press in Mzuzu on Thursday.

“There was a live streaming of a press briefing the Walter Team conducted in Mzuzu on Thursday where Bakali and some Bullets supporters committee members were captured, but as of now I cannot say much because I don’t know why that press conference irked the Bullets Main Supporters committee in Blantyre?” he said.

Efforts to get a confirmation of the firing from Bakali himself and the Bullets national supporters committee chairperson Ston Mwamadi proved futile since their mobile phones could not be reached.

During the press briefing, the Walter Team and concerned football lovers, appealed to FAM affiliates to nominate Nyamilandu whom they say his tenure of office has surpassed many football association presidents on the African continent.

Taking turns addressing the media Walter Team leaders Lifa Phiri and Chilipo ‘Okeke’ Kaponda said Nyamilandu’s cordial relationship with FIFA president Gian Infantino is yielding fruitful results sighting the construction of state-of-the-art FIFA Nsanje Stadium and continued funding of the Luwinga Technical Development Centre projects.

“We can’t afford to lose an opportunity to take advantage of Nyamilandu’s friendship with FIFA president Gian Infantino which is yielding fruitful results for the country, look at the construction of the state-of-the-art Nsanje stadium and continued funding of the Luwinga Technical Development Centre project,” said Lifa.

Leader of the Concerned Football Enthusiasts Bonface Kashololo lambasted some Civil Society organisation (CSO) leaders who took part in the Wednesday demonstrations aimed at frustrating Nyamilandu from exercising his constitutional right to contest on any position at Mpira House.

Meanwhile, Bakali has been replaced by Hossam Hussein in the position of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets supporters chairperson for the northern region.

Despite all the bickering, no candidate has yet come out to express interest in vying for any position at the FAM elections slated for 16th December in Mangochi District.
