Nankhumwa To Contest In 2025 Presidential Race
Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Kondwani Nankhumwa has stressed that under whatever circumstances he will contest in the 2025 presidential race.
Nankhumwa who has been expelled from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) alongside several prominent Party officials said he was fired just because he expressed interest to contest for the presidency at the party convention.
Speaking on Sunday at Ndirande-Malabada in Blantyre City Nankhumwa said it is his burning desire to serve the nation as Head of State hence continuing with the dream.
“Despite being expelled from the party my burning desire to serve the nation as the head of State is still strong, and let me assure you that I will contest next year,” Nankhumwa said.
On his way forward, the Leader of Opposition in Parliament says he will soon made the State of nation Address and the country will be greatly astonished.
The former DPP Vice President for the Southern Region who was appointed Advisor to the party president, Arthur Peter Mutharika was expelled from the party alongside Nicholas Dausi, Grezelder Jeffrey, and Cecilia Chazama among others.
