Chakwera Joins Christian Community’s Way Of The Cross

President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera accompanied by the first lady, Monica on Good Friday joined the Christian community in observing the Way of the Cross.

The first couple joined the procession of Christians from City Centre Roundabout in the capital city, Lilongwe to the Botanic Garden, for inter – denominational prayers.

Malawians today join the rest of the global Christian community in commemorating Way of the Cross, popularly known as ‘Good Friday’.

‘Good Friday’, is the day Christians across the world begin a three day commemoration of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the period known as Easter.
