London Political Summit Honours Malawi UK Envoy
The London Political Summit’s Award ceremony on Friday has in a special way recognized the Malawi High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr Thomas Bisika for the role he plays in advocating for improved livelihoods of common Malawians.
The meeting which was the 7th since its introduction was aimed to create a peaceful and enabling environment for cross boarder trade which also reward leaders whose governance provided people centered socioeconomic growth.
This year’s London Political Summit which managed to bring together global business captains and political leaders was held on Wednesday at the House of Commons Committee Room 9 in Westminster Palace and only for its award presentation ceremony held Friday night.
Receiving the award on behalf of Malawi’s High Commissioner, the Neighbourhood Officer City Wide at Manchester City Council, Allan Mandindi said the London Political Summit creates a great deal of significance in nurturing the culture of hard work and inclusivity.
Speaking in a phone interview after receiving Dr Bisika’s award Mandindi said he felt honoured that Malawi is being recognized for its efforts in diplomacy and promoting global peace.
“In 2020 President, Chakwera alongside his predecessor Prof Peter Mutharika were both awarded the London Political summit Uhuru/Raila Peace Accord award and this year the Malawi High Commissioner H.E Dr Thomas Bisika has been awarded a Diplomatic Peace Ambassadors Award, this shows that his efforts made in various endeavours are recognized globally,” Mandindi said.
This year’s London Political Summit and Awards ceremony hit the climax with the presence of over 100 high profile guests from all corners of the world.
Director of the London Political Summit, Dr Godson Azu could not mince his words when recognised the growth in size of the event.
“We are getting bigger and recognized by people that matters and as such getting better. This year summit have seen us host a proper dinner gala night, which turned out good with about around 100 high profile guests and businesses, using a high profile venue, Mandeville Hotel by Oxford Circus,” said Azu.
Azu further said the Next thing would be targeting to reach over 150 high profile guests and businesses taking an opportunity to thank Mr. Allan for his support and commitment given both the welcome speech and closing remarks at the Awards Dinner while pushing for the summit communique out as soon as possible.
The 2022-London Political Summit and Awards ceremony ended with the Award Dinner Gala, which was attended by the representative of His Excellency Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, in person of Hon. Commissioner of information and strategy, Bar. Ini Ememobong, and Hon Victor Adoji the Media Adviser among very high profile dignitaries.
