St Andrews Teachers Goes On Strike
Primary school teachers at St Andrew’s International school in Blantyre are holding a strike demanding an immediate resignation of the school’s headteacher.
The teachers claim to be dissatisfied in the manner in which finances are being handled at the institution, adding that they are working in a hostile environment, imposed by the headteacher.
Efforts to get views of the Headteacher of the school, Naomie Charles on the industrial action’ proved futile while the schools board chairperson, Dr. Luis Gadama asked for time before commenting.
One of the teachers Frances Clarke has told this publication that the industrial action which started on Friday will continue until their demands are met.
