Chakwera Arrives In Mzuzu
President Lazarus Chakwera has arrived in the city of Mzuzu on Thursday marking the beginning of an inspection of the extensive damage caused by prolonged dry spells in some districts in the Northern region including Karonga.
On arrival, Chakwera was welcomed by some senior party officials and some loyalists who cladded in Malawi Congress Party-MCP colours.
The Mzuzu Shoprite roundabout and the Central Business District’s streets were nicely decorated symbolizing the arrival of of a VIP.
Meanwhile, the State House Press Office is yet to release the whole programme of the presidential visit in the Northern region.
