Homeland Security Minister Hand-Over 20 Houses To Police

Minister of Homeland Security, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, and Lands Minister, Deus Gumba, have on Saturday handed over 20 newly constructed houses under phase one to Ndirande police officers.

The houses are likely going to reduce the housing challenges that the law enforcers have been experiencing, which have forced several of them to live in rented houses.

In an interview, Zikhale said the government is constructing similar decent houses in various districts across the country.

“It is the wish of this government under the leadership of Dr Lazarus Chakwera making sure that police officers earn a good living by among others providing them decent institutional houses,” Zikhale said.
