Sant’ Egidio Promotes ‘School Of Peace’ At Kids Christmas Luncheon

A non-profit organization, Community of Saint’ Egidio organized a Christmas luncheon for about 100 kids in Mzuzu city with the sole purpose of advocating the existence and importance of the school of peace.

The luncheon signifies the pedagogy with love promoting the common agenda in child development towards peace building which is the basis for the formation of the Sant’ Egidio global movement and it’s school of peace.

Sant’ Egidio’s Co-ordinator of children programmes responsible for the ‘School of Piece’, Crief Daniel said it is important for the society to consider embracing peace at the expense of economic status when providing young ones with training whose objectives border on yielding peace and coexistence.

“Even if certain children may be left out due to economic reasons, let us remember that it is essential to address this in future events to ensure inclusivity and avoid any potential rights violations,” said Daniel.

The youthful peace builder (Daniel) also mentioned the importance of prioritizing the well-being of all children in line with regional and the universal declarations on children’s rights.

Despite running it’s its programmes which focuses on human rights and early childhood development without any donor support the Community solicited funds from various partners to organise the luncheon whose key purpose is to promote the ‘School of Peace’ to the global village considering the aftermaths of civil strives and the plight of children in conflict zones like; Ukraine, the Gaza Strip and refugees in the country.
