Chaima Banda Unveils Superior MCP Work-Plan
The Malawi Congress Party MCP member who is aspiring for the position of Secretary General, Chris Chaima Banda says he will put strategies that will enable the party to rule the country for 100 years.
Banda says once voted in as Secretary General his target will be to ensure that MCP convincingly win next year’s general election by 75 percent.
He says his principles have always supported and championed smart and factual campaign models which do not accommodate mudslinging.
He furthermore emphasized, stating that those who will fail to secure positions at the convention and during local government and parliamentary primary election will still be accommodated to perform other party functions.
“My office will ensure that duty bearers at district and area party formations will be provided with all the necessary requirements to perform all assigned duties without complaints,” said Banda.
On the youths, the aspiring Secretary General expressed the need to empower them to effectively participate and contribute towards the development of the country.
To assume that office of the Secretary General, Chris Chaima Banda will tussle with the finance minister, Simplex Chithyola Banda and the incumbent SG, Eisenhower Mkaka.
