South Africans In Bushiri Abduction Attempts

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri says he is dismayed and shocked by continuous intrusion into his private space and attempts to kidnap him by some recognizable security personnel from South Africa.

In a statement released today by his spokesperson Ephraim Nyondo, Bushiri says they have received various tip-offs from well-wishers and have it on record these personnel from South Africa have been trailing him to the extent of following him everywhere he goes under the guise of working under the ‘Embassy’.

“The Prophet has, lately, been through a series of suspicious incidences that borders on his security to the point of involving the Malawi Police Service (MPS). We wish to underline here we are well aware of their plot: we know where they lodge, we know their communication links, we know their local collaborators and we know their movements,” said Nyondo.

Bushiri has since asked these personnel to back off from him and has also thanked Malawians for the tip-offs advising them to continue doing so.

National police spokesperson Peter Kalaya has confirmed that they have received Bushiri’s complaint and that they are investigating the matter.
